His relentless pursuit of excellence pushes him to delve into every aspect of the transport industry, ensuring that he not only meets but exceeds the standards set within the sector. Boasting an extensive list of qualifications, including completion of the Bus Centre of Excellence, IOSH Managing Safely training, Transport Management and Mental Health First Aid, Chris is exceptionally well-prepared to confront a myriad of challenges that arise in his field. In addition to his professional endeavours, Chris is also actively engaged in his community as a councillor, where he serves on several outside transport bodies, allowing him to share his expertise and gather valuable insights. His extend beyond just transport; Chris is adept at policy writing and evidence gathering, making him a valuable asset in any discussion. When he isn’t immersed in the world of transport, Chris generously offers his time as a volunteer with HM Coastguard and various local and national charities through such as the Worshipful Company of Carmen and the Freemasons in the community. Furthermore, he has taken the initiative to start with the Army Air Corps, showcasing his commitment to service and leadership.

I’m Marc Button, founder of MB Transport Consultant. I set up the business to support organisations that operate vehicles but may not have the time, resources or in-house expertise to manage every aspect of transport and fleet compliance with confidence.
Transport regulations can often feel complex and time-consuming, particularly when you are also trying to manage the day-to-day demands of your business. My role is to make things clearer and more manageable by providing honest, practical support shaped around the needs of each organisation.
I have more than 25 years of experience across freight and passenger transport, supported by qualifications including Transport Manager CPC, ADR, NEBOSH, Driver CPC training, and driver assessments. I also cover First Aid and Fire Marshall training.
I have worked with businesses ranging from independent operators to large multinational fleets, helping them improve compliance, strengthen their systems, develop drivers and prepare for audits.
Alongside my consultancy experience, I have more than 35 years of large-vehicle driving experience, including transporting hazardous and high-value goods during my time in the Royal Air Force. This means the guidance I provide is grounded in real operational experience, not just theory.

Throughout her tenure, she has taken on significant managerial roles, notably with Greater Anglia Rail Replacement and National Express Festival and Events, she has successfully navigated complex logistical challenges. By combining her extensive skill set, Emma has laid the groundwork for Transport Safe, a platform designed to enhance operational efficiency. One of her key innovations is the creation of an Employee to Customer portal, which ensures that the right personnel are assigned to the appropriate tasks, ultimately fostering a smooth and effective service experience for both employees and customers. Emma’s unwavering commitment to quality and precision has been instrumental in achieving these goals.

Reece Buttery embarked on his career in the television industry at a remarkably young age, where he honed his skills and learned the importance of adaptability in the fast-paced environment of film and television production. His experiences in the spotlight ignited a passion for the automotive world, leading him to explore this exciting field further. Emulating his father’s legacy, Reece made a significant career shift by joining the Emergency Services sector. Over the years, he has actively contributed as a Community First Responder, providing essential support during emergencies. In addition to his hands-on experience, Reece is committed to enhancing his medical training and valuable support to businesses, helping them prepare for emergencies and participate in major incident training exercises.

Peter has devoted his entire professional life to the railway sector, starting his journey on February 15, 1988, as a Labourer at Ripple Lane Depot. Over the years he has worked diligently and risen through various positions, ultimately achieving the role of Engineering Driver Technician, with his tenure concluding on December 31, 2024. Throughout his career, Peter has remained actively involved in the transport industry by participating in the Institute of Railway Operators and attending meetings with the Institute of Transport Administration, as well as Worshipful Company of Carmen. In addition to these commitments, he plays a significant role in the Road to Rail operation and is engaged in Festival management, showcasing his passion and dedication to advancing transport sector.

Sonia embarked on her transport career in the year 2001, starting with First Great Eastern at the bustling London Liverpool Street station. After gaining valuable experience, she made a transition to First Great Western, where she was stationed at London Paddington. Throughout her extensive career, Sonia has taken on a variety of roles, ranging from Barrier Staff and Train Dispatch to management positions, ultimately achieving the role of Station Manager for Liskeard Station under the Great Western Railway from 2012 until 2023. Recognizing the need for a career change, Sonia decided to explore new opportunities in the Public Service Vehicle (PSV) sector. She successfully passed her PSV test with Go Ahead Cornwall and soon after transferred to Go Ahead East Anglia, which recently been acquired by Transport Made Simple. Sonia remains actively engaged in the PSV industry, where she is committed to providing support and guidance to both new and experienced colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
